Error Message - Email Merge

Hello. I have searched through all the posted messages and have followed the instructions but am still having issues EMail Merging. Error messages are below: 1) "Active Agent for Outlook Core The Datafile was not found, is the document a set up for mail merge?" I then click "OK" and receive the next error message. 2) "Active Agent for Outlook Sorry, Word document not set correctly for MailMerge! Document is a normal document" I set up my email letters by going to Tools>Create a New Doc, checked Create from a Blank Doc and Save As REMS Merge Template, Chose my Doc Type/Folder from the drop down, inserted the Save Template As name. Clicked on "Open Merge Document", pasted my letters and clicked on save. What have I done wrong or what step did I miss? I have been working on this for a couple weeks and can not find a resolution. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you! Mary

Mary, The first thing to try is to go to the website and download the latest 14 day trial, this will ensure we are working from the same/latest version of the software. If you still receive the error at that point then go into admin functions-options-support and use the repair data file option as well as the repair word doc options to rewrite the data file and to re-associate the Word doc to the data file. This will address teh vast majority of the merge issues. Jack
