ACTive
Agent Genesis
In early 1999, a large residential real estate team approached
Prodata Software, Inc. with ongoing frustration over the
lack of progressive software and technology tools available
to them and their industry. Although most of the "off
the shelf" real estate software products were mature
and offered several useful features, the one major aspect
that was severely lacking in all these products was the
ability to customize the software to their specific business
usage, rather than the "one size fits all" generic
usage these products have long been known for.
In desperation, the real estate team purchased the award
winning ACT! software product due primarily to its rich,
powerful, and robust customization abilities. Prodata Software,
Inc. then used its ACT! skills and knowledge to customize
many aspects of the ACT! software including the database,
data entry screens and reports.
Once implemented, the real estate agency was extremely
pleased with a product that was customized so closely to
their business needs and processes, however several functional
aspects to further streamline their operations were still
missing, including better automation of client campaign,
correspondence and expense management.
Prodata Software, Inc. soon realized that with the inclusion
of streamlined client campaign, correspondence and expense
management, a winning product would be conceived and sold
on a national basis to other franchisees of the local real
estate team. Several months later, that conception became
a reality and ACTive Agent was released to the market to
not only the national franchisees of the local real estate
team, but to any and all residential real estate professionals
as well.
Active Agent includes a customized database, data entry
screens and reports in ACT! and additional Campaign Manager,
Letter Manager, and Expense manager modules not found in
the ACT! software itself.
With ACT! combined with ACTive Agent, finally real estate
professionals have a choice in making their software work
for their business rather than having their business work
around their software.
